About Us
Alice Children Education Foundation was born out of compassion — a response to children left wandering after the HIV/AIDS epidemic took their parents.
Our Story
The foundation began in 2002, when Alice Drumdru saw children left wandering after their parents died in the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We started by giving them a home, schooling, and basic care.
We were registered at district level in 2006 and incorporated in 2015. Over two decades, we have grown from a single act of compassion into a structured foundation serving orphans and vulnerable children across Uganda.
Our Purpose
To create a safe environment and improve the education of orphans and vulnerable children, together with their caregivers.
Our Mission
- Establish an educational center for orphans and vulnerable children.
- Support and sponsor children and vulnerable individuals.
- Raise funds through income projects such as agriculture.
